If life and your career is a full-time job and you can’t study full-time but you need to learn more to earn more or advance yourself.

If so, then the International VTCT/ITEC courses or the Services Seta SAQA Approved Unit standards at Beautiko is definitely for you! 

We understand that professionals and more mature adults need their studies to fit in with their lifestyle or career. Lectures are held on selected week days or evenings (17:30-20:30), with certain courses requiring attendance on Saturday mornings (09:00-12:00)

on special request.

Unwanted Hair Removal

The person credited with this qualification or unit standard is able to prepare their workstation for temporary hair removal, assess the hair growth and skin of their client and perform the removal of unwanted facial and body hair. Learners are able to use strip wax, hot wax, sugaring depilation for the hair removal treatment. 

The qualifying learner is able to: 

  • Explain hair growth and hair types.

  • Assess the hair growth and skin in order to perform a temporary hair removal service.

  • Prepare workstation for a temporary hair removal.

  • Perform temporary hair removal by means of waxing.

  • Perform temporary hair removal by means of bleaching.

  • Perform temporary hair removal by means of sugaring.

  • Allocated deposit to be determined from your selection

  • Regsitration documentation completed and signed


  1. Registration application will be reviewed and verified.

  2. Learner will be notified and registered once the deposit amount has been received.

  3. Learner will be loaded on to the system and a student number will be generated.

  4. Contact will be made to ensure that the learner knows the scheduled times and class time tables.


Open Learning

The entry criterion for the Short courses an International 

trainings are :

  • Minimum age 16 and older

  • NQF level 3

  • Communication and literacy

  • Numeracy and mathematical skills at Level 3

This means that the learner are at least 16 years of age or older and with specialised programmes 18 years depending on the Approved Accrediting Body.

The entry for certain units or short learning programmes might be subject to pre requisites and prior learning. 

For example : anatomy and physiology and professional conduct units must be in place or prior learning required before entering into the Diploma in Holistic massage.

Manicures and pedicures must be in place prior to entering into the Diploma in Nail technology.

Rpl [Recognition of prior learning] is also provided for learners with past experience or alternatively learners with other qualifications applicable, will also be considered.


How Can We Help?

The various course modules or unit standards will carry a school fee, an additional kit fee as well as external international approved examination fees.

A required deposit to be paid on or before the commencement of the training.

The balance of the course fee is payable in equal instalments.

The basic kit is payable on or before the learners start the training.
