Refund policy

Refunds

Full refunds within a short initial period within 5 days, if the course hasn't been accessed or materials used. 

Refunds apply only when:

1.1 If the course hasn't been accessed or materials used. 

1.2 Applications are cancelled before they are registered.

1.3 Double payments are made in error.

 

Refer to the Terms and condition in the registration contact agreement.

Terms and Conditions
1.    No course registration will be finalised and/or no course(s) will commence without payment structures in place or with an admission criterion outstanding.
2.    In the event of the student withdrawing from the above-mentioned course(s), for example Certificate or other as stipulated, or fail to continue therewith for whatever reason the student/parent or guardian/surety will still be responsible for the balance of the outstanding total course fees and no monies will be refunded. 
3.    In the event of the student withdrawing from the above-mentioned course(s) (full or part time) no amount paid for kits/school allocation, either outstanding or paid in full, will be refunded. 
4.    In the event that the student ,parent or guardian/surety fails to pay the account, or the learner fails to complete the studies in the stipulated time, no monies will be refunded, and the outstanding amount will be due at the current interest rate. This will result in the de-registration of the learner and the learner will have to re-register for the same course(s) or another. 
5.    If a Learner does not complete his/her studies in the time allocated for the course/unit or programme, the learner will have to re-register and enrol for the training again the following year or in a reasonable time and pay for the course(s) again in full. 
6.    The learner and parent or guardian/surety must write a formal letter stating reasons for not wanting to proceed and complete the training.

Title : Exit and Certification Policy LRCR/POL001/PROC001

Scope :
This document expresses the view of Beautiko College with regards to certification of a student on completion of the study programme.

Policy :
This policy is implemented by a laid-down procedure that is reviewed as part of the QMS system.

Title : Exit and Certification Procedure(incl QA of student achievements)

Scope :
This procedure describes the requirements that must be met and how they are checked before a student can be issued with her qualification.

Objectives :
It is the aim of this procedure is to ensure that :
1.    Students and their parents are aware of the requirements that must be met before a student can be certified and receive her qualification.
2.    The requirements are checked and the validity of the work-based component is established.
3.    Each qualification has a unique Identification number.
4.    Record is kept of the issuing of the qualification and its authorization.

Terminology :

Procedure :
1.    Students are informed in writing by means of the “Assessment Rules and Regulations” of the requirements for certification. Each student receives a copy as part of orientation.
2.    The requirements are as follows :
2.1    Students must be declared competent in all study units (theory and practical) that form part of the qualification. (final marks must exceed 50 % and borderline 48% and 49 % that can be condoned depending on the decision of the examination committee)
2.2    All assignments that include projects and case studies must have been handed in and marked as complete and correct.
2.3    The required number of contact tuition hours stipulated must have been attended ( these are checked before entrance to the final assessments is allowed)
2.4    All school fees must have been paid in full.
3.   For qualifications that form part of Qualification 80646 i.e. Unit standard based qualification related a Certificate of Attendance specifying successful completion of that Unit Standard can be issued.
4.    For other qualifications that are not Unit Standard related and don’t form part of the above-mentioned Certificates of Completion can be issued.
5.    Students, who have passed the practical component of a study unit, but could not manage to pass the theoretical component, even after a retake was done, are issued with a Certificate of Attendance for that particular qualification.
6.    If a student returns to the institution requesting a re-issuance of a certificate/diploma there is a financial implication. Depending on the cost of the printing, the student has to pay the amount specified by the Director, R500,00 per document, to receive the re-issued certificate.
7.    Before printing and sending it off, information is gathered to determine if the student had completed that qualification successfully.
