Caroline Hughes is not only our makeup lecturer, but the founder of The Glow Club operating under Beautiko College. She has almost 10 years of experience in the makeup industry and is internationally and nationally qualified. She believes in empowering women and men through makeup. Advanced Certificates or Diploma Level exits at an additional cost for ITEC external examinations or for the Services Seta Unit Standards as

individual units or a combination of units that could lead to the full qualification for the Certificate in Beauty and Nail technology (80646).

Courses and classes are also offered on a part-time basis, giving you the opportunity to combine study and career development with your working life.

International Certification in Makeup Artistry

Certificate of Competence | Services SETA | ITEC

This is our most intense course yet! It will set you aside in the makeup artistry industry and teach you all the tips and tricks- new and old.

The course has been inspired by international makeup standards and trends. This course is internationally approved by ITEC and nationally accredited through Services SETA. This course will certify you as an internationally and nationally accredited makeup artist.

You will not only learn standard makeup looks, custom makeup looks (chosen by you) and on trend as week as traditional makeup techniques, but you will also learn about promoting yourself on social media, how to take your photos and an ongoing mentorship. You will also learn basic dermatology and facial therapy. There are both practical and theoretical components in this course.

You can complete this course in the regular time frame of 6 months or you can split up the lesson and do it in a shorter or longer time frame (maximum 1 year). The lessons and timeframe are flexible to meet your needs.

The course will take place mainly in a 1:1 setting and sometimes in a group setting.

The course has certain technique criteria that needs to be met, but most of the makeup looks can be chosen by you, therefore allowing you to establish your own niche.

This course includes a theory and practical exam and will grant you with a ITEC Level 2 Certificate in Makeup, Services SETA Perform Makeup For All Occasions Certificate of Competence and Certificate of Competence, provided all exit criteria have been met.

This is our most popular course yet, with a professional makeup kit included! Whether you’re a beginner or an already established makeup artist, this course is for you! This course will make you a certified makeup artist.

You can then choose your own looks that you’d like to learn, book your lesson/s (flexible) and begin! By choosing your own looks, you will be able to develop your own style and niche.

This course includes a practical exam and will grant you with a Services SETA Perform Makeup For All Occasions Certificate of Competence and Certificate of Competence, provided all exit criteria have been met.

Upgrade Classes

Certificate of Completion

This course accommodates the needs of the already established makeup artist who wants to upgrade their skills and better establish themselves in the market with new and trendy skills and techniques.

Each lesson or lesson plan is custom to you and your goals. We carefully curate a lesson plan for you based on the gap between your current skill level and the level you’d like to achieve. If the gap is too large, we suggest the Custom 1:1 Makeup Artistry Course.

You can then choose your own looks that you’d like to learn, book your lesson/s (flexible) and begin! This course does not include a makeup kit so make sure to bring along your kit, however, this is not necessary as we have lots of makeup for you to use during your lessons. You can purchase brushes, products and customise a makeup kit through us. (See “Kits” below)

You will be granted a Certificate of Completion. Please note that if you’d like to become a certified makeup artist, our Custom 1:1 Makeup Artistry Course or Internationally Certificate in Makeup Artistry Course will better suit you.

Please note that a virtual or in-person consultation is required before the commencement of your course to analyse the gap between your current skill level and the level you’d like to achieve.

Learn Makeup on Yourself

R800 per lesson | 2 hours |

Certificate of Attendance

This course allows you to learn how to do your own makeup. Not only do we suggest what would best compliment you and your style, but we listen to your preferences and insight of exactly what you want to learn. Sometimes one lesson is enough for the everyday look, but we always suggest four lessons; day, evening, day to evening & touch-ups and special occasion.

You can bring your own products, brushes and tools so we can help you better use them and try work with what you have. Alternatively, we have drawers full of makeup, so no need to bring anything. We always give good inexpensive and luxury product recommendations, depending on your budget.

You are more than welcome to bring a friend or loved one and receive 10% off. What's a better way of bonding than a makeup session?!

We are available Monday-Saturday for bookings.
