
Reflexology
This qualification is for learners who want to work within the beauty/complementary therapy industry. The qualification consists of 3 mandatory units.
The main skills the learner will perform are:
Reflexology – to include carrying out a visual analysis of the feet, relaxation techniques, supporting the feet correctly, a variety of reflexology techniques such as thumb walking, finger walking, pivot, hook and rocking, adapting the techniques to suit the client’s specific needs, maintaining professional posture and locating zones, transfer lines and cross reflexes on the hands and feet.
The learner will also learn about related health and safety and client care and communication which is essential in order to work and be successful in the industry. ​

ONLINE THEORY
TRAINING COMPONENTS’ SPECIFIC OUTCOME 1:
Modules are divided into sections, with a quiz at the end of each section.Understand and explain, identify, analyse, evaluate and judge the theoretical learning area concepts underlying body therapies.Upon successful completion of the online theory section, you will be required to attend 5-days practical training session.
Practical Onsite - 5 days
TRAINING COMPONENTS’ SPECIFIC OUTCOME 2:
Analyze, identify, illustrate and show the techniques for carrying out a visual analysis of the feet, relaxation techniques, supporting the feet correctly, a variety of reflexology techniques such as thumb walking, finger walking, pivot, hook and rocking, adapting the techniques to suit the client’s specific needs, maintaining professional posture and locating zones,
CASE BASED
TRAINING COMPONENTS’ SPECIFIC OUTCOME 3:
Undertake, evaluate and record (in a portfolio or research report) the findings of, complete reflex zone treatment case studies, in which the required implements, equipment and materials are used.
Entry requirement
Learners accessing this qualification will have demonstrated competence in:
Anatomy and physiology and Professional conduct
Exit
The learner must meet the exit criteria for the knowledge based component, the practical based component and the case based component.
Beautiko Certificate of Completion.
On successful completion the the student has the option to enrol for the VTCT (ITEC) Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology Treatments at an additional cost .
Aromatherapy
This qualification is for learners who want to work within the massage industry.
The main skills the learner will perform are:
Consultation techniques – to include understanding the needs of clients and when and when not to treat them, contra-indications, referral procedures explaining possible contra-actions and providing aftercare and home care advice ​Health, safety and hygiene – contextualised to the environment in which the learner is working Aromatherapy Massage techniques – to include selecting a suitable massage medium for the client’s skin type, classical massage movements and adapting the treatment to the client’s specific needs.
Understanding of blending, extraction methods and application.
