The main skills the learner will perform are:
Facial electrical treatments – to include preparing the client, checking for contraindications and setting up and using brush cleanse, micro-current, high frequency, faradic, galvanic, vacuum suction and heat treatments.
The learner will also develop knowledge about related health and safety and client care and communication which is essential to work and be successful in the beauty industry.
This qualification also provides:
The related knowledge and understanding required to perform the facial electrical treatments listed above as well as understanding the structures you are working over in particular recognition of skin types and skin diseases and reasons that may affect whether a client should or should
not be treated.
Opportunities for learners to focus on the development of their wider skills in a
beauty therapy setting, such as communicating with clients, working with others
and problem solving
Opportunities for learners to develop a range of skills, techniques, personal qualities and attitudes essential for successful performance in employment as a beauty therapist specialising in facial electrical treatments.

KNOWLEDGE
TRAINING COMPONENTS’ SPECIFIC OUTCOME 1:
Understand and explain, identify, analyse, compare, apply and evaluate the theoretical learning area concepts underlying the complete facial treatment and the accompanying use of required implements, manual and mechanical equipment and cosmetics.
PRACTICAL
TRAINING COMPONENTS’ SPECIFIC OUTCOME 2:
Analyze, identify, illustrate how to treat and perform various facial treatments in conjunction with the judgment of appropriate electrical equipment and cosmetics.
CASE BASED
TRAINING COMPONENTS’ SPECIFIC OUTCOME 3:
Undertake, evaluate and record (in a portfolio or research report) the findings of complete facial electrical treatment case studies, in which the required implements, equipment and materials are used.
Entry requirement
Learners accessing this qualification will have to demonstratecompetence in:
Communication skills at NQF Level 3.
Mathematical literacy skills at NQF Level 3.
Have an ITEC Facial and Skincare level 2 qualification OR a Beauty Specialist Diploma in place as a pre requisite.
Exit
The learner must meet the exit criteria for the knowledge based component, the practical based component and the case based component.
On successful completion the the student will be issued with a
Beautiko Certificate of Completion .

The student has the option to enrol for the ITEC International Exams at additional cost for the :
ITEC Diploma in Facial Electrical Treatments Level 3.
