The VTCT (ITEC) Level 3 Certificate in Access to Aesthetic Therapies is a beauty therapy qualification aimed at learners with no formal background in beauty therapy training, who wish to gain access to additional study of advanced therapy

treatments at levels 4

The VTCT (ITEC) Level 4 Certificate in Skin Needling is an advanced therapy qualification aimed at level 3 qualified practitioners aged 18 and over, who wish to add this therapy to their repertoire of treatment offerings. Learners are required to hold a level 3 beauty therapy qualification or equivalent.

Units:

  • Principles and practice of non-medical aesthetic therapies

  • Advanced consultation for non-medical aesthetic therapies

  • Advanced skin care for non-medical aesthetic therapies

  • Provide skin peeling treatments

  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology

  • Health and safety pertaining to level 4 non-medical aesthetic therapies.

Learners are required to hold a Level 3 qualification in beauty therapy or equivalent qualification including anatomy and physiology.  

Learners must achieve the mandatory unit:

• Enhance Appearance using DermaPlaning Techniques

 

Throughout this qualification, learners will develop their knowledge and understanding of relevant requirements, regulations and safe practice treatment protocols for dermaPlaning.

 

Learners will also develop the knowledge, understanding and skills required to consult with clients, and provide specific aftercare and home care advice.

The VTCT (iTEC) Level 4 Award in Anatomy and Physiology for MicroBlading
Or equivalents

Learners will learn the skills involved in providing a thorough consultation with the client to formulate a specific course of treatment, tailored to suit individual client needs. Learners will prepare for and achieve a range of microBlading effects as well as providing the relevant aftercare.
Learners must achieve the following mandatory unit:

The qualification is suitable for learners aged 18 and It is recommended that learners must hold a Level 2 Diploma for Beauty Therapy or equivalent

OR then VTCT (ITEC) Level 3 Certificate in Access to Aesthetic Therapies

The main aim of the VTCT (ITEC) Level 4 Diploma in Laser and Light Treatments is to enable learners to gain the necessary practical and theoretical skills in order to provide laser and light treatments to the general public and to gain employment in the beauty industry.

Units:

This qualification is for learners who want to work within the beauty industry. The qualification consists of 4 mandatory units .

  • Laser and light treatments for hair removal – to include consultation, skin and hair analysis, recognising contra-indications and contra-actions, carrying out relevant tests prior to treatment and adapting the treatment to the client’s needs

  • Laser and light treatments for skin rejuvenation – to include consultation, skin analysis (Fitzpatrick scale), recognising contra-indications and contra-actions, carrying out relevant tests prior to treatment and adapting the treatment to the client’s needs Managing health, safety and security in the salon.

The qualification is suitable for learners aged 18 and It is recommended that learners must hold a Level 2 Diploma for Beauty Therapy or equivalent OR then VTCT (ITEC) Level 3 Certificate in Access to Aesthetic Therapies

The qualification consists of 1 mandatory unit

The main skills the learner will perform are:

Unit:

  • Microdermabrasion treatments - to include consultation, skin analysis, recognising contraindications and contra-actions, carrying out relevant tests prior to treatment and adapting the treatment to the client’s needs

  • The learner will also learn about related health and safety and client care and communication which is essential in order to work and be successful in the industry.
